Dear Students and Parents:
Please refer to the Lost Mountain Middle School Art Blog Homepage when looking for assignments. All information and projects will be posted there. Projects are encouraged, whereas all other work is optional. At this time, all work for each grade level is the same. I understand that students may have limited supplies, so projects have been simplified so that they can be completed at home with nothing more than a pencil and paper, or other alternative materials. Please refer below to the excerpts from Dr. Nyeste’s e-mail on grading for more information: “Our plan is to provide students with digital instruction and practice to continue the learning process from home. Some of our students will not have access to technology or the internet from home; therefore, we will not hold students accountable for digital work with a grade. We will provide instruction and practice to build student understanding of content standards. Our teachers will provide your child with numerous digital learning resources to assist your child in learning from home. The biggest takeaway from this experiment is to realize we are providing a basic framework of instruction. We encourage students to be available during their scheduled office hours to continue with their learning. Grades at this time are not our focus; continuing learning is. We will pick up with all instruction and grades when we return to school.”
