Students have recently started a super fun STEAM lesson! Students are drawing familiar cartoon characters and will be painting a sheet of transparency paper to create an "X-Ray" of the exaggerated bone structure of their cartoon characters. We are making connections to Science, while also discussing contemporary artist, Jason Freeny. We also were able to talk about how cartoons were originally made using layers of transparency paper.
